We’re not going to say we have been established for 30 or 40 years and we are the second or third generation in our business.

Based in the beautiful market town of Shifnal in Shropshire, we are a new start up business and will be offering our services specialising in sales of plant equipment, attachments and also commercial vehicles.

Richard lost his father very suddenly in 2016 whilst he was delivering The Hillhead Quarrying, Construction and Recycling Show on behalf of Finning UK & Ireland where at the time he was Product Manager for most of the Core Range of Caterpillar Equipment Finning sold into the UK and Ireland.

Starting in year 2000 he was a Territory Sales Person for 10 years.  

In 2010 he became Used Equipment Manager and held this position for just over 4 years and built a huge portfolio of customers around the world.  During his time as Used Equipment Manager he helped reduce the inventory by half and increase stock turns dramatically.  Playing a huge part in the website design at the time gave Richard great experience in the design of our own website you are surfing right now.

In September of 2014 Richard took the position back in the New Sales part of the business as Product Manager responsible for all Hydraulic Excavators, Tracked and Wheeled and all Articulated Trucks where he helped Finning and Caterpillar grow their market share to the highest they have been for many years.

Before leaving Finning, Richard was Sales Manager for a Demolition and Waste Sales Team developing a new go to market strategy to help Finning grow their business in these niche markets.

Shifnal Plant Limited was established in 2017 and we continue to grow year on year as our customer base around the world continues to grow on a daily basis.
